BACHHPAN

NURTURING INNOCENT DREAMS

In our day-to-day life we are ignoring many serious situations which we should not ignore. For e.g., while taking cup of tea from small hands at stalls we should think of his age, this is the age of learning, playing and enjoying but alas they have to work to survive. In the age of learning they are picking up scraps, doing child labour, working at various shops and we just look at them and feel pity for them and then just IGNORE them.

So in this merciless world someone has to come to bring them up, and this holy work is done by ngo called "BACHHPAN".Started by BVM college students to support and educate poor, helpless children. The whole ngo is running by powerful, energetic college going youth. There are more than 250  volunteers serving 650+ childrens.Bachhpan is nurturing children's dream in rural areas of Anand, Ahmedabad and seeking to expand across India and wants to repair this dent of society i.e.,child labour. One of insipiring story from bachhpan

Right now they are working on projects like:

• Aadhaar-Under AADHAAR, they provide complete support to the special talented kids who are child labourers, but wish to study. They enroll such students in the best schools of the city and take care of their every need from school fees, books and uniform. A team of volunteers mentor such students; their needs and progress.Till date, they had helped 53 such students and tried changing their lives forever.

• Paathshala-Teaching them at slums where schools are not there by taking evening classes.

• ABCD(anybody can dream)-Personality development along with academics, teaching moral values, manners.Providing them various books for reading so that good habits can be formed.

Every weekend, they are made to do some creative work like drawing, rangoli, watching a cartoon movie, learning new poems, inspirational stories, etc. There are many such works are still going on to improve their future.

The main aim of this NGO is to exterpate the child labour and help them to become educated as they know if roots are better then definitely future results will be impressive.
This NGO is totally run by students of college going going youth either they are from any year, who study whole day upto 6 o’clock and then after that they help children by teaching them selflessly regularly without expecting anything from them.

If every citizen of india thinking become same as volunteers of the Bachhpan then there will be no social issues like poverty, crimes, exploitation etc.,
India salutes to such ngo who work day and night selflessly to see smiles on other’s face and we should also support them by any mean.
