Controlling Your Tongue

Words are like arrows, which come out once they do not come back. That is why it is often said that we should talk with care. Whatever words we use either hit someone’s heart or somebody’s mind. Words meet together to form sentences and sentences meet together to form our thoughts and there is a way of expressing our thoughts that we all have to learn once. When we say something bad to someone, how can we expect that he will speak anything good for us.Regardless of our goods deeds if our words are not right, we will never be called well in anyway. It is our words that make us good or bad in front of anyone. It is not necessary that a good person always speaks well and bad person is always bad because now-a-days there is no shortage of people who are behind mask. So how to find out who the right person is? Sometimes, we unknowingly say something bad to anybody and we do not realize that and when we realize, we should apologize immediately. If we want to get rid of most of these, we should always keep in mind that we should always keep our tongue alive and in control. This thing cannot be taught to us,but we have to learn it ourselves. Our tongue is such a powerful thing that holds so much power that can connect us with someone and also can separate us from anyone. We should always keep ourselves in place of another and see if we had listened to it for ourselves, how you would have been felt. One of the easiest ways to “offend” and do harm to another is through the mouth. People often speak rashly in the heat of the moment and without carefully considering the impact their words have on another. These emotional outbursts cause us to come up with phrases like “My mouth ran away with me,” and so forth. On those occasions, the use of the mouth was not employed as a tool for edifying, rather just the opposite.
But the one that can control his speech is considered “a perfect man.” Since, the tongue is often known as “running away” on its own, the one that exercises great restraint over this defiant member is considered “able also to bridle the whole body.” It’s the taming of what some view as being untamable. He or she that is able to moderate or put limits on something that is so difficult to deal with can often show great restraint in other areas of life also. “He that kept his mouth kept His life: but he that opened wide his lips shall have destruction,” is what we are told. If one can keep their mouth under control they can often hold tight elsewhere avoiding destructive patterns that would work to tear them out. So, always speak your heart out but keep your tongue in control.
