Wow! You have been called for an interview in the college you were dreaming of? But is that it? Was it so easy? Your dream university is just a step away now and obviously you can’t afford to mess up right now. Stay confident and read through these tips just in case:
- Know what kind of interview can take place
The first thing you need to know about the interviews is that they can be both evaluative and informative. An evaluative will have a more serious aura and you may be asked some serious questions to test your capability to be in that university. The other kind of interview could be informative; this is more like a casual interaction where both the parties are kind of impressing the other one. The interview may have a pinch of both though.
- Think how are you unique
The university officers are going to interview so many people so why should they even remember you. You must know what makes you unique and you need to let them know about that so, they remember you; for the good of course.
- Read your SOP and admission essay again
Some interviewers have that habit of viewing through your SOP or admission essays along with. They may ask you anything you have mentioned that may catch their attention. That’s why honesty is needed. So, always go through them before stepping in the interview hall.
- Re read the course information
The officers might be interested in knowing why you are into that particular subject, that particular course and you should have an answer to that. so go through all the course details and clear your doubts during the interview if you have any, you should be interactive.
