Inner Beauty Versus Outer Beauty

"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" but, people are quick to judge when it comes down to how someone looks. If we randomly ask people about what they find beautiful in a person majority of them will probably describe their physical attributes. Rarely, we would see anyone saying about someone's inner beauty, i.e. their compassion, intelligence, kindness, generosity. As quoted by Kate Angell "outer beauty attracts but inner beauty captivates." We generally think that it’s the chiseled face or an amazing physique that makes a person beautiful or attractive, but it’s the inner beauty of a person that makes them even more attractive and appealing to people. Outer beauty gives us a glance but it’s the inner beauty that makes us stay. Inner beauty of a person is to realize its strengths and live with them. Inner beauty is a representation of a person's true self.
Beauty is something that people strive to attain. It is a kind of praising and admiring description that people wants to hear about them. Although some people believe that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty but the truth is that majority of people strive to attain outer beauty. One must feel beautiful to be beautiful. If we feel beautiful, our self belief and confidence brings out a glow of beauty that no outer beauty can compete with. Looking beautiful is worthless if we don't feel beautiful. A pure heart is even more attractive and superlatively rare.
You cannot judge a book from its cover. Just like that, beauty is not the first glance we sneak of a person. It is way beyond it. It’s the unknown that lies within.
Beauty is in the way you treat others, it’s in being able to stand up for something that you believe in even if you are the only one standing. It has nothing to do with looks, it’s about how you are as a person and how you make others feel about themselves. It’s the unseen that cannot be discovered unless you spend enough time to notice. One can stay in the hearts of the people even after their death if he or she reflects their inner beauty to the world.
Outer beauty is just a reflection of our inner beauty, our self confidence, morals, values, and ethics and how we feel about the things we do. If we have faith and confidence on ourselves and we feel good about our thoughts, personality and values it will create an outer beauty that does not really have to do with shapes and forms.
We are all born beautiful in our own way. Some of us just have a better way of showing it from others but that's what makes all of us unique from others. Beauty runs deeper than the skin, a flat stomach and perfect curves. True beauty comes from the heart, because no beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart. As said by Ali ibn Abi Talib, "Beautiful people are not always good, but good people are always beautiful.”
