Here is a truly inspiring story from the life of the founder of one of the most successful online firms of the recent times i.e. alibaba.com. Its founder popularly known as Jack Ma but then known as Ma Yun was born during the communist era when China was completely isolated from its other western counterparts. He has siblings and the family were too poor to even feed their kids. Meanwhile Jack Ma grew to be a totally arrogant and aggressive kid who often got into fights with his classmates and friends. After the visit of the then US president, Jack Ma's not so popular town became a popularly visited tourist destination. Ma often when around hotels early in the mornings to guide the tourists through the city and brief them regarding the significance of every place. In exchange, they taught him English. Being aware about is family's financial situation, Ma knew that his only way to earn money would be through education. He tried applying to the colleges after school, but pathetically failed twice in spite of putting in sufficient hard work and labour. Finally, after his third try, he was allowed to attend the HANGZOU TEACHERS INSTITUTE. He was deliberately rejected for every job that he applied and faced almost 12 rejections before being appointed as a teacher, where the payment was nominal. Though he didn't manage to earn much, but still loved his job and carried his responsibilities with utmost dedication and duty. After his first ever interaction with the internet, during a trip to US, he was totally fascinated by the wonderful creation. Although he had no prior experience with computers or coding, he tried his best to learn it. The first ever thing he searched for was BEER and the results showcased no Chinese brand. This was the turning point which made him realize that China needed. Initially, two of his ventures failed due to the lack of funding and other minor problems. During the third venture, he convinced 17 of his friends to invest in his company and explained to them his whole idea of developing this online workplace which would ease the buying selling task for both the customers as well as the sellers. Over time, after the establishment of Alibaba, it started attracting investments fro, the best baking companies like Goldman Sachs and other telecom tycoons from Japan. After this happened, there was no looking back. The company only expanded to larger and larger limits as time passed by. Jack Ma believed the constant hard work, perseverance and a strong will power to achieve something big was what brought all the success to his doorstep. Later Ma stepped down from the post of CEO and still stands high as the chairman of the Alibaba Group. This self-developed business tycoon is truly an inspiration to every aspiring entrepreneur and ambitious businessman.
