My Life As A Writer

Writing means describing your words and expressions through words. Writing for me as a writer is the way through which I talk to myself, express myself, recollect whole day’s thoughts and just go with the flow of words.
Writing is what defines me and is thus my identity. It is not only about curating content which is appreciated by others or is just for getting paid by someone. It is more than that. It is more than anything maybe. I am known because I am a writer. My work, my words describe the real me because everyone knows that this is what describes me.
Writing for me started from the school time only when we used to have grammar lectures and were required to write. From that point of time only, I knew that I could write and it was not much of an effort for me. Because at that time writing was all about getting ideas, recollecting them in a sequence, curating content and then finally getting it seen by someone for approval. That’s it!
But one winter vacations when it was all about getting rid of boredom and earning a few bucks, writing was there to rescue. With no prior experience in writing, I was hired as a content writer for 1.5k bucks and when the first pay was credited, it was such an achievement. So much so that I actually couldn’t believe but couldn’t tell family fearing they would stop my writing. That first internship as an amateur content writer gave me utmost confidence and a boost to my writing. It could be felt from inside. Constant guidance and little bit scolding worked perfectly, in my favor. Internships changed, I started developing more and more interest and started writing for more and more genres.
Writing grew more and more. Experience increased. Now I was much, much more confident about what I was doing and what I actually intended to do with my life. Now whenever I answer the question, “Why you should be hired for the internship?”, my answer starts with the line that I am writer by passion and student by profession. Writing this line in itself means a lot. It does feel really great when you see your work being appreciated and actually getting acclaimed.
Perks of being a writer are that you get your name being published online even if you write a small piece. You grow your grammar, vocabulary and hone your writing skills. If you get a chance to interview people, then you actually improve upon your speaking skills and interviewing skills to. Interacting with a whole lot of new people and learning to know more about them is the best part of this job.
Why I am writing this today because this might be an inspiration to a lot of people and maybe we get more budding writers.
Last but not the least,
“Always believe in yourself. It is you who actually define and determine the course of your life.”
