What is Brain-Based Learning?

Brain-Based Learning is nothing but connecting old knowledge with new. Brain-Based Learning refers to different teaching methods, designing of the lessons and also the school programs. This type of learning is based on the scientific research took place in this area and reported that how the brain learns and include few factors like cognitive development. In this research, they observed how students respond differently according to their age and maturity. They also observed how students balance their social, emotional and cognitive abilities.The general belief behind the Brain-Based Learning is how learning can be improved by the educators without old educational practices. It will be clearer with a simple example. Intelligence is a fixed character in everybody’s life. However, recent observations in cognitive science revealed that every human brain changes at the time of learning and while practicing the same it changes accordingly. So it will be easier to continue the learning and practicing the same skills. No doubt this type of learning works effectively and improves the student skills but the question arises here- How far the schools can design their academic activities and how teachers put their effort in working with this type of teaching?

How to Become a Better Teacher?

Becoming a better teacher is not difficult. It is possible with the complete desire, dedication, and support. Improvement in better teaching with innovative technics reduces the physical stress and increases the mental stress. The learning theory goes ‘Practice makes a man perfect.’ It is hard to match learning abilities with this theory. For instance, if we practice walking, we can walk. If we practice drawing, we can draw, but if we practice learning a language we cannot expertise in that. The reason is that the other abilities like walking and drawing are related to physical ability and learning a language is related to mental ability. So to become a better teacher we need a lot of dedication and interest to learn or teach and practice more and more. The old strategy to become a better teacher is very easy when compared with the new strategy. There are few steps like  Motivation > Vision > Teaching > Action > Teamwork > Goal > Success  People those who want to improve their skills bluntly used to follow these steps and try to compete with others. But in the modern world, there is something outstanding to learn to become a better teacher or learner.

Finally, we can say that to lead an Idealistic life everybody needs Education and at the same time right person to guide, say ‘Guru’ who plays an important role.
