"Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world". Definition of the word weapon is, "A thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage". This is a negative connotation for the word weapon. The context in which is the word weapon is used for education is something which builds change, something that can influence society positively, strongly and effectively. Education is the only source that boosts the development in Science, Technology and humanity in the world. No doubted, it is the education that brought us from the invention of wheel to the invention of rockets to travel to the planets. It was only education through which we could communicate and grow together.

When a person is literate, he will be equipped to deal with the day to day business dealings of society. The higher the literacy rates, the better choices of employment, and income, status, health care and economic wealth for the family. It is often the best tool to create wealth and happiness. Literacy empowers a person to the extent that little else can and that is the reason it is one of the strongest weapons. The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education. Literacy is a subset of education. Literacy gives a person skills and education will direct a person to doing right things, enable a sense of discernment, guide consciousness towards progress and give a person inner strength. A man who is truly educated will exhibit strength of character. Often it is only when one is educated that one can withstand the vicissitudes, the ups and downs of life. Education doesn’t just mean getting degrees or going to university. A person could be home schooled, yet be highly educated. The power to reason, the ability to make a correct judgments, the ability to discern, the capacity to be open minded, the capacity to be kind and compassionate to the lesser fortunate ones are all traits of a cultured educated man. It is an ongoing and an evolving process, which each of us who are fortunate to have got at a basic level, should try to constantly be aware of and utilize its learning in daily life.

Education is the most effective way to break out of the poverty cycle. Education teaches how to develop and improve compared to the current lifestyle of the underprivileged, which is based out of needs and sustenance. When the cost of education comes in the way of providing basic needs for family and children the homemakers always choose to spare the cost of education and spend it on necessary needs.

Nelson Mandela once said that education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world. But education "Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world" as a weapon is possible only when teachers themselves are equipped to enforce this notion and have all the commitment and enthusiasm. We need to give teachers step-by-step guidance and top-class support to enrich the child so that they build themselves and their by nation and influence the world. Every teacher should have access to the internet and resource centers to get the necessary assistance. A single powerful tool teacher has for influencing a child's character is his/her own character, So that we need to more concentrate on the teacher's education in order to educate the world.

M.K.Gandhi said "By education, I mean an all round drawing out of the best in the child and man's body, mind and spirit." The word education has its origin from Latin term 'Educatum', 'Educare' and 'Educere' which means the act of teaching or training, to bring up or to raise and to lead forth or to come out respectively. Education is the formation for an individual to understand and perceive things in deeper way. Both individuals and society benefit from the right to education. It is fundamental for human, social and economic development and a key element to achieving lasting peace and sustainable development. It is powerful tool in developing the full potential of everyone and in promoting individual and collective wellbeing.
