Happiness Is More Of A Choice

It isn’t hard to be one of those people who look at the bright side of the life. When surrounded by negativity, finding happiness in small things can be hard to do. However it is essential for your mental health. Often, especially if you struggle with depression you naturally focus on the negative things in life. Finding happiness in the small things starts with thinking of the list of things you have to be thankful for and happy about.

Life is not made up of one big moment; rather it is made up of millions of little moments. While you may not have accomplished all 10 items in your to-do list on a particular day, focus on the items you did complete. If you spent your life focusing on the disappointments you are only left with dissatisfaction and depression.

There are small opportunities each day brings, and they are brought in moments. Miracles happen in moments. We tend to think of life as the passage of days, weeks, years and decades. But, in essence, life is made up of moments.

You don’t have to do something momentous to change the world. You can begin one step at a time to transform the smallest areas of your life. Small things matter – small act of kindness, moments of compassion, selfless giving or half-steps in the right direction. When we do them mindfully and with love, we can make a big difference.
