“It’s not about how much money you make

It’s how you save it.”

“Do not save what is left after spending

But spend what is left after saving.”

Spending money is easy. It is not difficult at all. Saving is the toughest part. Saving, at the cost of spending seems like hell. Saving means you might to just go away with the idea of buying that luxurious bag or dress, or dropping a dinner date with hubby or bf, or maybe dropping a weekend plan with friends. It could be anything, just for the sake of saving.

Spending after saving should be your all time go-to motto, not saving after spending. Saving for a long term can make you earn brownie points later when you could actually buy something good and big or go for a great and hefty trip! But the thing is how to save? Saving, saving, saving! Everyone advises to save but no one tells you how to save so that you don’t have to kill your wishes and still you are able to have something in your hands for near future.

Whether be you a teenager, or a family, all need to save something every month. But the issue is how they can save without being a miser. Here are the tips which you can adopt in order to spend smart and save more:

  1. Make a complete list of all the necessary things that you need every month excluding those which aren’t that important. For first few months, see how much quantity of those you are buying or how much are you paying when buying from different places. When you see that you are getting uniform results for quite some time, it implies that that amount is your fixed amount which can’t be changed and can be managed.
  2. Besides keeping up with point 1, see that what all things are supplementary to them and can be avoided. Maybe those 10-20 packets of wafers or pies could be reduced to 5-9.
  3. Ensure that you aren’t paying bills more than required or are paying for something which is not even of any use to you. Being teenager, you might not require television and thus don’t need to pay for the subscription amount. If you don’t use Wi-Fi, don’t just pay for it thinking you might use in future.
  4. Don’t waste things. Think how you can use the waste also and generate best out of waste. Don’t buy new things just because an old stuff got a small crack or scratch, it can be used or even reused by mending it.
  5. Buy only those things which are absolutely needed.

Now, these are some easy and quite easy to implement tips. If followed religiously, they can bring miracle in your life and you’ll see the difference in your savings. But the pre-requisite for applying above tips is that you have to be determined. Determination is the key to achieving things!
