“People cry, not because they are weak. They cry because they have been strong for too long.”
Crying is about letting your emotions flow out. Crying is actually like breathing. The more you hold, the more you let out! Crying is not characterized by being weak or doesn’t imply that if a person doesn’t cry, he or she is strong. It is up to a person’s perspective as to what does crying mean to them!
When a father cries on her daughter’s wedding it is not only because he gets a bit weak, but also because he has to let a part of himself go and leave him. When a mother cries on seeing her new born child, it is not because she gets weak, it is because of the joy of being blessed with a baby after waiting for almost nine long months. When a brother cries on seeing his sister hurt it is not because his strength is affected, it is because it is his first love that gets hurt. Crying cannot always be symbolized with weakness, instead with overflowing joy or utmost sadness also!
It is up to you as an individual to decide whether crying means weakness or is a mark of strength. Thing is that crying sometimes signify utmost strength people showcase and sometimes also by not crying. When a woman cries after being harassed and beaten up, it is because it is out of her mind that why she went through all that besides being a lovely wife and maybe a responsible mother in case the couple has a child too and thus, she just vents out all the pain with those tears. A woman many a times doesn’t cry when she’s blamed for her husband’s death because she doesn’t understand that what is important to people at that time, death of a person or blaming someone for the death and that too his wife. These are just small examples of certain situations wherein people do cry and sometimes not, depending on the situation and also the state of mind.
Tears depend on state of mind also. Many a times, the condition is so shocking and the grief is so hard to accept that your eyes don’t permit crying. Some people even go into deep shock when they cry a lot, a lot means quite a lot. One such incident I too can recall when my very close friend got in the problem of thyroid when she lost her maternal grandfather few years back. One more incident which I can recall at this very moment is when another close friend of mine lost her mother at a tender age of 18 and that too just a month before our board exams were going to start. The degree of pain in both the situations was so high that the most strongest people’s demise made them cry really hard that they lost all their strength and cried to the fullest!
Crying is just to vent out our emotions.
