 Jigyasa- An Opportunity For The Students

JIGYASA-AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE STUDENTS

On 6th July the central government launched a program called JIGYASA. It is a student and Scientist connecting program launched for the welfare of the students. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Human Resource department. In order to implement the program the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) collaborated with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, this program connects both the school students and their teachers. JIGYASA is about to tie-up with 1151 Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan with 38 national laboratories of CSIR to connect 100000 students and 1000 teachers annually.

The main objective of this program is to connect student and the Scientist to make their classroom for both learning and researching the new innovative ideas. The student and teachers can learn both theory and practical concepts of learning with the help of Council of the scientific and industrial research lab and they can also make their own projects with the guidance of Scientists. The Scientists will be a teacher by teaching the science by visiting the schools and also implementing science and maths teaching clubs to make learning fun.

The students with their innovative Science projects can demonstrate in the National Children’s Science Congress. There is also apprenticeship and workshop program for the students and teachers. It is the most initiative step taken by the CSIR and the Government in National level at the platinum jubilee celebration of CSIR to develop the young researchers to bring their ideas.

The JIGYASA will be extended to other institutions in the future. This is one of the steps of the new India to engage students in research. School students of today will be tomorrow’s Scientists, Engineers, Doctors and Entrepreneurs so the students should engage themselves in this program to show their talents by realizing their potentials. They should accept the challenge and show their confidence to dream high.

The JIGYASA will be a good experience and authentic environment for the passionate student in the nation by motivating teachers and Scientist focusing on Scientific research with real experiments. Science is not about smartness it’s about learning to utilize the nearby sources to create the best result which can change the life of a common people.
