SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT
The evolution of society from primitive to complex advanced and modern was mainly brought out by industrialization. The concept of developing various types of industries in a country in order to be self-sufficient is known as industrialization. This not only increases a country’s GDP but also helps in the overall economic growth of the people of the country.
Just like industrialization greatly helped in bringing out massive changes in an economy, it also posed a threat to the environment or ecosystem. The waste generated in every industrial production is so huge that disposing of them in the correct way becomes difficult. Thus, as a result, disposal of wastes here and there affecting the ecosystem and thereby harming the individuals. Though ecosystems are linked to one another and thus, destroying one of them would eventually lead to destroying all the others. The effects of industrial effluents or harmful gases, on the environment are unthinkable. Since industries have become an indispensable part of our lives, all of us should think of protecting our environment in other ways to balance the harm that is being done.
Due to rapid urbanization, forest covers are being cleared in order to accommodate the people in cities and towns. Large-scale deforestation should be compensated by planting more trees in other places wherever possible. Moreover, we all know that natural resources are scarce and they have no alternatives. Thus, resources must be used diligently so that the rate of exhaustion does not overcome the rate of replenishment. If resources are used carefully it will lead to less wastage of productive resources, allowing the future generations to use the same.
Alternative sources of energy should be used for at least domestic purposes to cut down the total consumption of non-renewable resources. In order to protect our environment, we should always remember it is not only our houses that are to be kept clean but also our surroundings. Proper Waste disposal is another way in the environmental conditions can be improved. Industrial wastes are often carcinogenic containing harmful metals like lead etc which may lead to several health disorders not only in the present generation but also in the future generations.
Studies have also claimed that environmental degradation increases by at least 10% every year where global warming plays a key role. The only way to reduce this is an efficient use of resources and techniques placed at our disposal. This environmental degradation is likely to increase every year if our actions are not checked. Thus, to save a life, we need to save an environment.
